Allison Raskin is a New York Times bestselling author, relationship coach and mental health advocate, in addition to being an accomplished content creator. She co-hosts the show Starter Marriage with her husband and created the Emotional Support Lady Instagram and Substack. She is also well-known for her time at Buzzfeed Video and her popular YouTube channel Just Between Us, which has amassed over 185 million views. As a screenwriter, Allison has developed shows with FX, Netflix, MTV, YouTube Red and 20th Century Television.
Allison’s first two YA novels, I Hate Everyone But You and Please Send Help, were co-written with her Just Between Us partner, Gabe Dunn. Allison has also published two books in the non-fiction space, Overthinking About You: Navigating Romantic Relationships When You Have Anxiety, OCD and/or Depression and I Do (I Think): Conversations About Modern Marriage. Allison’s debut romcom, Save the Date, was published in 2025 by HarperCollins and her follow up Compulsively Yours is set to release in December 2026. Both novels feature main characters with mental illness.
Since getting a master’s in psychology and launching her relationship coaching business, Allison has made a name for herself as a go-to expert in the intersection of mental health and romantic relationships. Her writing has been published in Washington Post, Cosmopolitan, Business Insider, Elle and Ms. Magazine among other outlets. She has recently been interviewed by New York Times and NPR about the state of modern marriage. She works with individuals and couples all over the world as a relationship coach.
