This Great Hemisphere is an inventive and immersive epic that follows its brave invisible protagonist as she navigates a futuristic new world that often mirrors our own. A thrilling page-turner.”

“A Maine camping trip turns into a fight for survival in this meditative dystopian thriller from Heller….Despite the high stakes, Heller gives the narrative plenty of space to breathe, allowing him to cast a haunting, immersive spell as his heroes traverse the ruined landscape. Painterly descriptions of nature and sparkling philosophical ruminations…elevate the proceedings. The result is a wilderness adventure with real emotional depth.”

“This book is spectacular! It is deft and voicy, sexy and emotionally brilliant. I am honestly obsessed with Shirlene Obuobi’s Between Friends & Lovers and cannot wait to shout about it to every reader I encounter.”

– Christina Lauren, New York Times bestselling author

“Sullivan…writes with her usual compassion, insight, and sensitivity, creating multidimensional characters about whom, even as they make regrettable mistakes, the reader unwaveringly cares. She also tells a broader story of America’s complicated history, weaving in accounts of Indigenous and Shaker women, and poses powerful questions about how to right the wrongs of the past.
Sullivan artfully and astutely engages with difficult topics in this absorbing, affecting novel.”

“In Shepherd’s imaginative latest, [she] playfully mines nostalgia for Choose Your Own Adventure series (“If Ren didn’t break up with Marsh last night: Turn the page”). Whichever path readers take, they’ll find a tantalizing and well-knit story. Reality TV fans especially ought to take note.”

A stellar historical mystery Quinn elegantly explores issues of race, class, and gender, and brings the paranoid atmosphere of McCarthy-era Washington to vivid life. For Quinn’s fans, this is a must.”

“Everything about this novel reminded me of drinking sweet tea on a warm summer’s night while relaxing on a wide Southern porch, a ceiling fan slowly turning the air overhead. I smiled as I read the first page and breathed a contented sigh as I read the last–because A Happier Life made me happier, too. Don’t miss it!”
Brenda Novak, New York Times bestselling author of Tourist Season
