Aria Mia Loberti is an actress, author, and activist.
In 2023, she made her acting debut as the lead in Netflix’s Golden Globe- and Emmy-nominated series All the Light We Cannot See. Despite no formal acting training, Aria bested thousands to be cast in the internationally sought-after lead role. Her powerful performance was nominated for a Film Independent Spirit Award for Best Breakthrough Performance in a New Scripted Series, as well as the Rising Star Award at the 2023 Toronto International Film Festival. Her critically acclaimed performance launched a diverse, rich acting career.
Aria’s influence goes far beyond the screen. Before her acting career flourished, she was a PhD candidate in ancient rhetoric at Penn State University and earned her Master’s in ancient rhetoric with distinction in 2021 from Royal Holloway, University of London, as a Fulbright Scholar. In 2020 she graduated summa cum laude from The University of Rhode Island with degrees in Philosophy, Political Science, and Communication Studies.
Aria’s children’s picture book, I AM INGRID, releases through Scholastic Publishing in October 2025, launching her career as an author. Aria looks forward to continuing to write for children, middle grade, and YA audiences.
Aria is also an advocate. Her work spans across national and international forums, focusing on the climate crisis, gender parity, and education and literacy access. Aria began working with UNICEF USA in 2022, and has since become one of the organizations most outspoken voices on both responding the children’s literacy crisis and closing the climate gap for women and girls. Her efforts helped pass the READ Act Reauthorization in the United States by working with lawmakers on Capitol Hill. She was named a UNICEF Ambassador in 2024.
Aria hopes her work can encourage kids and kids at heart to be the heroes of their own story and find magic all around them. She lives in Rhode Island with her best friend, Molly, and their beloved black labradors, Ingrid and Etta.
