People Magazine Reveals The Cover For Murray’s First Solo Historical Fiction Novel
Harlem Rhapsody is the story of Jessie Redmon Fauset, the woman who, almost single-handedly began the Harlem Renaissance. She discovered, edited, mentored and first published the literary greats like: Langston Hughes, Countee Cullen, Nella Larsen…so many more. She was the literary editor of the Crisis Magazine and it was her own novel, There is Confusion – the first novel written about the Black middle class, that began what was called the New Negro Movement, and later the Harlem Renaissance.
