The 2026 Gotham Book Prize Nominees Have Been Announced
Amongst the many talented writers, are AU authors Victoria Christopher Murray and Eiren Caffall. Christopher Murray was nominated for her book Harlem Rhapsody, and Caffall was nominated for All The Water In The World.
A jury made up of leading New York writers, academics, and civic leaders will select the fifth annual winner in the coming months, who will be awarded a $50,000 prize this spring – winner chosen on March 31st.
Previous Gotham Book winners include Movement by Nicole Gelinas (2025), Paradise Bronx by Ian Frazier (2025), Crook Manifesto by Colson Whitehead (2024), The Sewing Girl’s Tale by John Wood Sweet (2023), Stories from the Tenants Downstairs by Sidik Fofana (2023), Invisible Child by Andrea Elliott (2022), and Deacon King Kong by James McBride (2021).
