Angeline Boulley’s book FIREKEEPER’S DAUGHTER wins Goodreads Choice Award!

Goodreads announced its 13th Annual Goodreads Choice Awards December 9, 2021. These are the only major book awards decided by readers. After 4,756,261 votes were cast, books in every category—from Fiction, to Mystery & Thriller to Romance to Horror to Poetry and more (a total of 17 categories), Angeline Boulley’s breakout novel, Firekeeper’s Daughter, won for Best Young Adult Fiction. Her book alone received 35,648 votes!

Firekeeper’s Daughter introduces a compelling new heroine to the YA scene. As a biracial and unenrolled tribal member, 18-year-old Daunis Fontaine feels like an outsider both on and off the local Ojibwe reservation. But she soon finds a higher purpose when she witnesses a terrible murder—and decides to go undercover with her own investigation.
